The Webb's Not Bummer Summer

The summer for the Webbs was full of various activities. We were definitely trying to have a "Not Bummer Summer." We saw lots of movies, did lots of crafts and enjoyed sleeping in. It was a summer that we probably won't have again. Here are some of the highlights of our summer.

Family Reunions:

Spent a week at G-Mommy and Grandaddy's and met some new friends:

Attended VCC Vacation Bible School:

Attended soccer camp:

Took swim lessons:

Played an indoor soccer season:

Spent a week in Houston at Grandma's and Papa's:

Went to Fashion Camp:

Went roller skating:

And found the simple pleasure of a fake moustache from Kroger's bubblegum machines:

May updates

In May we were as busy as we were in April. At the beginning of the month Jason chaperoned Jenna's field trip to the Ballpark at Arlington and happened to see Josh Hamilton practicing.

The school had Family Fun Day and the kids learned how to fence. Those are real foils.

We visited Legoland Discovery Center with G-Mommy and Rylee and Reese.

Jenna had her dance recital. This year she had three dances. She did a great job and really had a blast this year.

Jackson had his Kindergarten Award / PTA performance at school. Of course his performance was during the tornadoes/severe hail that hit the metroplex that night.

Both the kids were recognized for their published works with an Author's Tea.

Jenna finally had enough money saved to buy a new American Girl doll so we had a Mother / Daughter shopping afternoon at the Galleria.

Spring Break 2011

Jenna and Jackson spent the first part of Spring Break with my parents in San Angelo. They rode bikes and even learned how to shoot bb guns with Granddaddy. Jenna apparently is pretty good at shooting at a target.

I went to get the kids so that they could be back for their soccer games. They spent a Friday afternoon with their cousins from Houston.

Jason's parents came up the next weekend to celebrate Grandma's birthday.

The kids were treated to a Sunday at Six Flags with Grandma and Papa.

Lowry Family Christmas

Sunday we had Christmas lunch with my Mom's side of the family. The boys especially loved Uncle Brad's iphone games.

And a Sunday wouldn't be complete without a little napping.

The Nutcracker

Later Saturday night we headed to watch the San Angelo Civic Ballet's production of the Nutcracker. It is mainly performed by children. It was a lovely time out with the girls.

Buse / White Family Christmas

The weekend before Christmas we celebrated Christmas with my family. We started with my Dad's side of the family. We had a good time talking and looking at old pictures. Here is my Dad and his siblings.

Here is Granddaddy and G Mommy with the grandkids (minus Jackson who didn't want to take pictures)

Later that afternoon we exchanged gifts as a family in between watching the high school State football game.

The aftermath of the gifts...

This is where Barney chose to place himself during the gift exchange

Branson

Since we were in three different condos we had the opportunity to share meals together. The kids loved eating on the covered patio.

One of the things G-Mommy wanted to take the kids to was the Noah's Ark musical. It was a mix of animated and real animals. It was really good.

Jason and I went to the Titanic exhibit and later brought the kids to see the ship.

In the parking area they have these horses made out of sticks. Here's Jenna's favorite.

We did plenty of swimming both in the pool and the tub.

We hit up the Hollywood Wax Museum

Found a couple of things in the Five & Dime store in Old Historic Branson

Then we saw a familiar sign!
