Valentine's Day

Well the 7 inches of snow had a little impact on our trees. I swear it seems that we are constantly having tree issues. Our Live Oak in our backyard lost a few limbs thanks to the weight of the snow. The good news is that we can shape up the limbs and the tree will look just fine. The bad news is that the day before the "Snow Storm of the Century" I had the front trees trimmed so I have to pay for them to come back out. Happy Valentine's to us!

Jackson got $5 for Valentine's and he wanted a light sabre. I had found a Star Wars costume left over after Halloween but I didn't happen to look at the size. Apparently it is for a boy the size of Jenna, but he still wears it. Now his ensemble is complete. This is what he looked like when I left for Bunko on Monday.

And this is what he looked like when I came home from bunko.

On Tuesday Jenna finally had her Valentine's Party at school. I had taken Friday off from work so that I could come to her party, but the snow changed all that. Jason was able to go to the party during his lunch hour since I had a 3 hour budget meeting. Got to love a new fiscal year!

The Picture People called wanting Jackson to help train the new photographers. Boy did they have fun learning. This was the free sheet that we got for helping.

Snow Day - Part 2

Today I had a scheduled vacation day that included 3 different appointments and something special for me. Well the school closure changed that. I still had my 8 am vet appointment so I loaded up the kids and the dog and ventured out. It was really pretty quiet and so beautiful. It was a little difficult getting back into the garage but my suv is somewhat built for it. We had a nice relaxing day and had a good time. Not the day I had planned, but still nice.

Snow Day!

Today the schools were closed so I had the pleasure of working from home today. For lunch I went outside with the kids since it was still snowing and there was about 4 inches on the ground. This kind of snow you have to capture it while it happens.

We had a snowball fight

Made snow angels - or tried to at least

Attempted to make snowmen

Jason was able to get off work early, so we played in the snow again. As you can see by this point we had 6 inches.

We made snow angels and this time I couldn't resist.

The angels were pretty since the snow was so beautiful!

Then we made bigger snowmen

You can't really tell but Jackson's snowman is a pirate with a sword in his hand

Jenna's is a Longhorn cheerleader.

Lost Tooth

Jenna lost a tooth the other day during dinner at a restaurant. To hear her describe it she is now a beaver. To hear Jason describe it, she is waiting for her fangs.
