Can it already be one year?
Today marks one year of blogging. I can't believe that the time has flown by and I have enjoyed sharing our lives with our friends and family. I think this next year will be a great one and look forward to sharing with you and your blogs.
Happy Birthday Jason!
Thursday was Jason's birthday and because of schedules we did not get to celebrate until the weekend. We went to Six Flags as a practice run to Disney World. My company had reserved the park and could not get out of the contract so we got one free ticket. Jackson did really well without a stroller and as you can see from this picture he may have some character issues at Disney World. Happy birthday Jason, we love you!

Champions!
Our small group has a softball team and many of the games did not end in a win. This season the guys have done well and were in their first playoffs. I had originally planned to go to the first game but Jackson feel asleep. Jason had originally told me the first game would determine who goes to the final round and the loser would play for 3rd place at the late game. When the champion round time past I automatically jumped to the conclusion the team was playing for 3rd. When Jason walked in with his champion t-shirt I was surprised. Apparently he had the brackets mixed up and they won the champion final round. Way to go team! We are so proud of you!

A Morning in Austin

Jason and I had the opportunity to sit with our friend Steve at the Texas-Baylor football game. After being on the west side (see the arrow of our seats - the lone white in the sea of orange) of the stadium for 10 years it was nice to be on the east side again. Steve's family seats were nice and it was a beautiful fall day. Here is a few of our seats from the east side. Thanks Steve, we had a great time!

Happy Birthday to Me
Well this birthday has not been the best but it definitely falls below the Valentine's Day that I had the flu. Monday I started feeling sick and suffered through most of the work day on Tuesday. Sucked it up and went to the doctor's Tuesday afternoon and I have strep throat. I felt better today, probably because I don't have a fever anymore. I had the day off anyway but not exactly how I intended to spend my day. However, I did enjoy laying on the couch doing nothing with the excuse that I am suppose to rest. I am officially not contagious and am planning to go to work tomorrow. Thank you for all the e-cards, it made my day a little brighter. Here is a picture of my birthday cake. The kids insisted that we put my age on the cake "because Mommy I have been four and Jackson has been three so we have the candles." I guess this is better than 34 actual candles on the cake.
HSM3
Sunday afternoon we hit the movies right after church to see High School Musical 3. It was pretty good and of course after it was over Jenna requested to have it on DVD for Christmas. I told her that the movie would probably still be out during Christmas and that maybe for her birthday it may be available on DVD.

A Day with Daddy
Christmas Help
With Christmas gaining on us several family members have asked what Jackson wants or needs for Christmas. We are having a hard time deciding what he wants to ask Santa for. So I have a question out there for anyone reading this blog, what would be something good for an almost 4 year old boy? He still plays with his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stuff and his Thomas the Train stuff but he is too little for a Leapster or DS.
