A Week with G Mommy and Granddaddy

While Jason's Mom was staying with us, Jackson was spending the week with my parents. Then my parents came up and stayed with us for about a week. They took Jenna to swim lessons in the mornings and then did various things around the metroplex. My Mom did a lot of end of season shopping and my Dad did a lot of fixing things. Saturday my Dad and fix part of our fence and gate. Yes, my Dad let me use the nail gun. I like to think of it as a Father's Day present for Jason. We fix random things inside my car. Then he did some work at my sister's house. Jackson liked playing the bean bag toss with my Mom. We ended the time with a slumber party with my niece Rylee. All in all it was a good week with the added bonus of spending Father's Day with both our Dads.

First Indoor Baseball Game

Jason went down to Houston for Father's Day weekend. His dad had tickets to the Astros - Yankees game. Jackson experienced his first indoor baseball game.

A Disney Afternoon

Last Saturday was our niece's ballet recital. It was themed "A Disney Afternoon" and most of the songs were from some sort of Disney movie or show. This is when I realized that Jenna knew who the Jonas Brothers were and what songs were theirs. Here is a few pictures from the recital. I don't have very many because I took most of them with my parents' camera.

Jenna's Week with Grandma

This week Jenna had Grandma all to herself. In the mornings Jenna had swim lessons with Mrs. Davis and then their afternoon begins. They went to the library, got a summer haircut, went to a movie, went shopping, rode bikes and many, many games of Trouble. Best part is that Grandma bought Jenna "High School Musical 2".

Grandma's Attic - The Dance Recital

Jenna had her dance recital on Saturday and the theme was Grandma's Attic. She actually did most of the steps of both her dances. She even hammed it up on the last one. Here are some photos before in her first costume and after the recital with her teacher, Mrs. Shelly.

Here are the required shots with flowers after the recital with family.

Unexpected Blessings

This evening when I went outside in our backyard to get the dog. When I opened the door I was surprised to see part of my tree on the ground. Earlier this year I had this tree trimmed so that the limbs weren't touching our roof. Thank God that I did because the limb missed the side of the house and windows by inches and only damaged a gutter.
