An Important Rite of Passage

Today Jenna got her ears pierced. She has been asking for a few months but with soccer she couldn't really do it. So now that the season is over we headed to Southlake to get her ears pierced at Sweet and Sassy. She was so brave but asked if it was going to hurt. I tried to make her feel better with stories of what it was like back in the day - you know back in 1984 when I got my ears pierced.

Pink Dragons

Last Saturday we celebrated the end of the soccer season. We had a game scheduled for a Monday and GLASA decided to wait until the lightening was near to call off the game. The ref told us we would not make up the game but called on Friday night to tell us the other team forfeited. Not exactly how we wanted to end the season. The Pink Dragons all got together for a swim party.

These girls have really grown as players and as teammates. It will be exciting to see what the Fall season holds as they increase team size, field size and strategy.

Family Fun Day

This year Jenna's school had their Family Fun Day on a Saturday. It was a nice sunny day with a slight breeze. It was so nice just to walk to the event and not have to fight the traffic. There was laser tag

Next they tried the giant hamster ball




The new ER was there and allowed the kids to be doctors for the day.

Roller Skating

Jenna and Jackson had the opportunity to go roller skating on Sunday. It was Jackson's first time and he did surprisingly well.



Of course, the younger boys wanted to keep up with their sisters the whole time on the big rink. Aren't they adorable and so sweaty?




Jenna made a guy friend and skated with him most of the afternoon.



Brought up so many memories from all those Saturdays at Eight Wheels as a kid. We were skating to Air Supply and 80's hairbands where the kids were skating to Lady GaGa and Miley Cyrus. So different but yet so much the same.
